Jeremy is the president and founder of Horizon Masonry. He is a second generation mason contractor, and has been involved in masonry for over 23 years.
Before starting Horizon Masonry in 2001, he worked for General Masonry with multiple roles and lead positions.
Jeremy is involved in all aspects of business for Horizon Masonry from management, estimation, equipment, to personnel.
He strives to make sure that Horizon Masonry maintains an excellent working relationship with owners and general contractors to ensure that projects are completed on budget and on time.
Vice President and Risk Manager
Heidi has been a part of Horizon Masonry since its inception in 2001 serving in various roles from accounting to risk management.
Heidi previously managed and ran the corporate insurance program for QEP Resources; a drilling company based in Denver, Colorado.
She has set up and ran several risk management programs, worked closely with environmental, health and safety groups as well as human resource departments and various divisions
within both Horizon Masonry and other companies. She has experience reviewing, negotiating and revising service contracts, including major construction contracts, in conjunction
with legal personnel. She has served as a median point of contact for business operations, legal counsel, corporate insurance, accounting, finance and administration,
to help coordinate the efforts of all parties in relation to contract requirements. Heidi has completed several commercial insurance courses as well as associates of Risk Management
courses. She obtained her Bachelors in Business Administration from Westminster College. Heidi works to keep the company running smoothly from an executive standpoint and for the
betterment of both Horizon Masonry and its employees.
Project Manager and Lead Foreman
Sam Golightly has been in Masonry most of his life with over 40 years of experience in both residential and commercial masonry.
Sam has been the lead foreman with Horizon Masonry since 2004. Prior to coming to work for Horizon Masonry, Sam began as a mason and built his way up to a lead foreman position
which he had held for several years prior to working for us. In those positions he ran smaller projects such as custom homes to other larger projects such as the
Box Elder County Jail and Lowes Home Improvement stores. Since he has come to work with Horizon Masonry he has been the lead foreman on a large number of our jobs including
the Navaho Visitors Center and Amphitheater in Monument valley, Buffalo Wild Wings, Vriens Truck Parts, South Valley Water Treatment plant as well as several others.
Sam has been an asset to our company and has helped us foster and build a safe, competent workforce.
Project Manager and Foreman
Tom Larsen is a 3rd generation masonry professional with more than 30 years of personal experience including brick, block, and stone work.
Tom has supervised multiple commercial projects including several buildings at Farmington Station, Gordman’s in American Fork, Fabulous Freddy’s Car Wash in Sandy,
Family Dollar Stores in Utah and Wyoming, and is currently supervising ongoing work at a new McDonalds in Sandy. Tom is a strong supervisor who quickly gains the trust
and support of his crew.
Project Manager and Foreman
Kim Sellers has over 30 years of experience and was the owner of Sellers Masonry for 15 years.
Sellers Masonry specialized in custom brick on residential homes and block work on commercial buildings, Strip Malls and other projects.
Kim brings his knowledge as both a former owner, supervisor, manager and mason. Masonry work Kim accomplished as Sellers Masonry includes:
Addition on Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City. South Davis Jr. High addition, LDS Churches built in Bountiful, Eagle Wood, West Bountiful, Roy, Clearfield,Far West,
Harrisville, Kaysville, and Layton. The Pinagree school for Autistic Children in Salt Lake City was also done by Kim. Block Masonry work by my company include:
Dick’s Market in Bountiful, Strip Mall 104000 S. Bangeter Highway, Egan Automotive in Kaysville, Albertsons in So. Ogden, Movie Theatres in Layton, Sports Plex and Tax Works in Kaysville.
Equestrian buildings in Farmington and Draper and many other buildings were constructed by Sellers Masonry LLC. Kim strives for perfection in every job he does. He is currently
the Foreman over the Ventura High School under construction in Ogden for Horizon Masonry.
Supervisor and Lead Tender
James Ukena is a supervisor and lead Tender for Horizon Masonry. He has been in masonry since 1998, and has been in management for over 10 yrs.
He is proficient with various reach lifts, hydraulic scaffold, crank up scaffold, and conventional scaffold.
He has completed many large masonry projects from schools, jails, to retail building. He is a key part of Horizon Masonry’s management team.
William M Whitesides Jr. (Bill or Billy) is a 2nd generation mason. He started masonry full time as a career
in 1989. William began managing masonry projects in the late 90’s. In 2001 he had the privilege of
managing the CMU and fireplace construction of the Earl Holding Olympic Lodge at Snow Basin Ski
Resort, home of the 2002 Olympic Men’s and Women’s Down Hill. The lodge features 7 working wood
burning masonry fireplaces and chimneys. In 2011 he had the rare opportunity to be involved in
constructing a concrete tilt up and masonry building, the Gateway Aquatic Center in Ketchikan, Alaska,
where his project management skills were crucial due to logistics. William also has extensive experience
working with government entities such as the Corp of Engineers, MSHA and the Navy Civil Engineer
Corps and has completed his 30-hour OSHA Hazard Recognition Training for the Construction Industry at
UC San Diego. Other notable projects in past few years William has managed are: 2013 C130 Hanger,
C130 Wash Rack and Squad Ops facility, Cannon AFB - 2014 F35 Hanger and Fuel Cell, Nellis AFB – 2014
